Gm fren 👋🏻

As it can be really hard to find resources, I thought I’d share my experience into crypto.

I’ll be talking about general crypto stuff, finding resources, acquiring knowledge, DeFi, NFTs, DEXs, CEXs, building, and a lot more.

How I got into crypto…

… And why ?

Actually I’ve been following BTC and crypto for a long time (2014-15 I’d say), but just the general news. I first bought BTC in 2019, because I wanted to get a VPN but I was afraid of giving away my personal information. So I went to a P2P exchange (Paxful) and bought gift cards from a foreign website so that I could trade them for some expensive BTC (~$7.5k when it was $6k).

As a result, I paid almost 3 times the price of the subscription, thanks to transaction fees. 🤡

Me at first

After that, nothing, until the end of the first Solana Summer. A good friend of mine introduced me to Solana. At this point, I was unaware of all the new blockchains, so I had to do a ton of research to understand where was the crypto space at.

I created accounts on Binance and Crypto.com, and got myself some SOL. I started with 1 SOL when it was $170 back in October 2021.

I got introduced to DeFi very quickly so I never experienced CEX derivative products etc, and got directly on Raydium, Francium, Tulip Garden etc. Shortly after, I also bought some CRO to make the same thing on Crystl Finance, VVS, only to get also CKB to get into Nervos L2 Godwoken Polyjuice and Yokaiswap.

After that, I got introduced to NFTs on Solana, and started building small tools. I’m a web developer during daytime, so I naturally wanted to get my hands dirty at some point.

I learned how NFTs work, how to create a collection with Hashlips, deploy a Candy Machine with Metaplex, mutate NFTs with Metaboss etc… Then I joined two projects and started to build a NFT generator in the spirit of Yume Labs’ Prism but simpler. I designed protocols and started doing IT project management.

Now let’s get into my journey:
